Androthea Apartments, Ayia Napa

On arrival the customer service was good because we were seen to immediately, but (and its a big but) we were told the hotel was fully booked! We were then told there was a room in a hotel nearby called ‘Nicholas Apartments‘ that we could stay in for the night.

If you follow my blog you would know that my boyfriend and I had stayed in Nicholas Apartments before-hand, the hotel is a cheaper hotel with a rubbish swimming pool and rude cleaners – We were not refunded the difference which was disappointing, another thing that we were let down by is that Nicholas Apartments wanted us to pay for air con in our room even though it was included in our room in Androthea – in the beginning of July in Ayia Napa it is not a nice time to be sleeping without air con, we had a very sweaty night.

When we arrived at Androthea on the second day, we waited at reception for 30 minutes until somebody served us, we weren’t told clearly where the room was so we then spent a while looking around the place trying to find it.

When we first entered the room there was broken glass on the floor, the door itself was not very easy to open and the bathroom was in desperate need of updating! The cooking facilities were more like stuff you would take camping than have in a kitchen, I must admit the bread bin was handy though (hadn’t had one of those in Ayia Napa before).

There were families and groups of teenagers around the pool, so it seems suitable for all types of customers – except I didn’t see much disabled access other than a ramp to the reception (which is probably for wheelie bags not wheelchairs). A picture of the pool is shown below (taken by myself):
